HOUSTON — The Astros made a roster move on Wednesday, acquiring a new infielder in a trade.
Astros General Manager Dana Brown announced they traded infielder/outfielder Mauricio Dubón in exchange for infielder Nick Allen from the Atlanta Braves.
Allen, 27, spent the 2025 season with the Braves, appearing in 135 games and batting .221 with 11 doubles, 32 runs, 22 RBI and eight stolen bases.

He was a finalist for the National League Gold Glove Award at shortstop, ranking fourth in the NL in Outs Above Average (17).
Allen has played in parts of four Major League seasons with the Athletics (2022-24) and the Braves (2025). He was originally drafted by the Athletics in the third round of the 2
