Residents voiced concerns about utility prices and supply, noise, and the environment when meeting Wednesday with the developer of a proposed data center in Oregon.
“Being able to afford to live has got to be a priority, and our electric bill was already two times what it was last summer,” said Kristi Soska of Teresa Drive. “... If you want to be a part of the community, you need to get back to the community, because right now, everything that I’ve read and seen is taking, but I’m not seeing a lot of contribution.”
Ms. Soska was one of about 300 people attending a town hall meeting at Fassett Junior High School in Oregon. The two-hour event was held by the Regional Growth Partnership, a privately financed development agency in Toledo.
