CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Bengals will have to contend with the red-hot Patriots this Sunday without Ja’Marr Chase, who is suspended for spitting on Steelers defensive back Jalen Ramsey .
But even though the Bengals will be shorthanded at receiver, quarterback Joe Flacco is trying to spin things in a positive direction. At his Wednesday press conference, Flacco spoke to reporters about how Sunday will be an opportunity for the receivers behind Chase and Tee Higgins to step up into larger roles.
“It’s always cool, you know, honestly, when these types of things can come up for whatever reason, because it’s opportunities, you know, for young players to come in and show what they’re all about,” Flacco told reporters. “So I think only good can come from that.”
