BLOUNT COUNTY, Ala. —

An Oneonta man was convicted Wednesday of sex crimes involving children.

A jury found Christopher Parker guilty of rape and sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12, according to Blount County District Attorney Pamela Casey.

Casey says Parker was arrested in 2022 when authorities received a report that two children had been sexually abused at a residence.

He faces a prison sentence of no less than 99 years under Alabama's habitual felony offender laws.

Parker is scheduled to be sentenced Jan. 20, 2026.
