The Gilded Age season 3 did not go easy on George (Morgan Spector) and Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon). The couple's marriage was seemingly already running on borrowed time, and the finale may have just ended it.
The series' third season ended with George reassessing his marriage to Bertha after a near-death experience. He ultimately decided that he could no longer trust his wife (mainly due to the way she treated their daughter, Gladys, portrayed by Taissa Farmiga ) and the marriage couldn't continue if things didn't change. He then packs his bags and moves back to New York, leaving Bertha heartbroken. And, to add to the shock, Gladys also revealed to her mother that she was pregnant.
While the finale didn't explicitly state that they were getting a divorce, things are looking pretty
