BERLIN, Wis. (WBAY) - On Wednesday, a Wisconsin judge tossed a lawsuit filed by wedding barn owners, including one in our area, seeking to block a state law that goes into effect January 1st, forcing those businesses to obtain a liquor license or face significant restrictions.

If you’re planning a wedding, you could feel the impact.

Just outside Berlin, Jean Bahn runs the Farmview Event Barn, one of the two wedding venues in Wisconsin behind the lawsuit seeking to stop the state from imposing a law, she says, is meant to put her out of business, or at least make it difficult to continue without becoming a bar.

“It’s not something that I’m going to entertain, but I know a lot of people are feeling forced to do that now,” says Bahn.
