Two longtime MIHL rivals and two of the projected top ice hockey teams in Division 2 shared the rink at Kennedy Arena on Wednesday night when Bloomfield Hills Brother Rice made its way down to Trenton. Wednesday was just the third game of the season for the traditional state powers.
Rice came in looking to avoid a second straight loss after falling to another perennial state contender in Marquette its last time out on Nov 14. Trenton meanwhile was looking to start the year 3-0 after outscoring both Wyandotte Roosevelt and Port Huron Northern 15-3 in each of its first two outings.
