The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a series of weather alerts, as a developing low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify and influence weather conditions across several parts of the country. Simultaneously, a cold wave continues to grip pockets of central India, with temperatures dipping sharply in parts of Madhya Pradesh. Over the next few days, coastal regions, southern peninsular states, and island territories are also forecast to experience heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and squally winds. According to the latest bulletin, a low pressure area is likely to form over the Southeast Bay of Bengal around November 22.
