FRASER – A goalie is often a hockey team’s best penalty killer.
“He was tonight,” Utica-Fraser Unified coach Evan Gizinski said Wednesday after senior netminder Eli Chodun turned away all but three of the 61 shots fired his way in a 7-3 victory against Marysville in a Macomb Area Conference crossover game at Fraser Big Boy Arena.
“This is his third year on our team and every year he’s gotten better and better. He’s given our team confidence from puck drop in practically every game we’ve played. He’s very reliable. We’re happy to have him.”
