The J&K Police’s special cell, State Investigation Agency (SIA), on Thursday (November 20, 2025) carried out searches at the office of the Kashmir Times in Jammu.

Preliminary reports suggested that a team of the SIA arrived at the office of the newspaper early in the morning and carried out searches of different sections.

Officials said documents and digital devices of the newspaper were under scanner.

The SIA has not issued any formal statement on the searches. The newspaper has also not responded to the ongoing raids immediately.

The Kashmir Times was founded by prominent journalist Ved Bhasin in 1954. Bhasin’s daughter Anuradha Bhasin is currently the editor of the newspaper.
