SRINAGAR, Nov 20: Jammu and Kashmir authorities conducted an inspection of lockers belonging to doctors and medical staff at the Government Medical College (GMC), Anantnag, as part of enhanced security measures, officials said on Thursday.

The exercise, which began on Wednesday, follows the recent Delhi blast and the recovery of arms and ammunition linked to a “white collar” terror module, and aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and proper use of hospital infrastructure.

The drive comes after an AK-47 rifle was recovered earlier this month from Dr. Adeel Rather’s locker, leading to the arrest of the doctor and the dismantling of the terror module, which involved several doctors and the seizure of around 2,900 kg of explosives.
