Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is set to deliver four unforgettable days that prove why Scotland’s capital is the Home of Hogmanay.
From a river of fire weaving through the Old Town to showpiece concerts, comedy, ceilidhs and family-friendly fun, this year’s programme blends tradition with world-class spectacle. If you’re deciding where to be when the bells ring, now’s the time to plan your Hogmanay and share your plans with friends.
It all begins on Monday, December 29, with the iconic Torchlight Procession. More than 15,000 torch bearers gather at The Meadows for live street theatre, fire performers and drummers before the Massed Pipes & Drums and Vikings from Shetland’s South Mainland Up Helly Aa’ Jarl Squad lead a breathtaking parade through the city.
