The Snake Pass is blocked this morning (Thursday) due to snow.
A stretch of the A57 which runs from Glossop through the Peak District has been left 'impassable' due to the conditions, according to traffic reports.
The traffic service Inrix says the affected stretch runs from Hurst Road, near the Royal Oak Inn in Glossop, to the A6013, next to Ladybower Reservoir in the Hope Valley.
Temperatures plummeted to several degrees below freezing overnight and remain at around -2 during rush hour.
A number of both amber and yellow Met Office weather warnings are in place in different parts of the UK as a cold snap grips the country following Storm Claudia last week.
None of the warnings currently cover Greater Manchester or Derbyshire.
