BLOOMINGTON — Indiana women's basketball coach Teri Moren waited more than a year for Wednesday’s game against Butler.
The Hoosiers (5-0) never trailed in a 72-53 win over the Bulldogs at Assembly Hall.
It was a small measure of revenge for last year’s loss at Hinkle Fieldhouse that fractured IU’s locker room.
"I've been bitter,” Moren said. “Very bitter about that loss in Indianapolis. I didn't like how we played, I didn't like how we reacted to the loss, and I thought for the first time in really long time — I talk about sticks in a bundle are hard to break — I felt like for the first time we were starting to pull apart a little as a team.” More: ‘There’s no easy formula’: How Teri Moren guided IU women's basketball through unprecedented rebuild Need a news break?
