Adam Peaty has issued a statement on the 'hurtful' family feud that has publicly emerged as he prepares to marry Gordon Ramsay's daughter.

The Olympic swimmer took to social media on Wednesday night (November 19) and accused his family of “encouraging” false claims about him and his fiancée.

The feud reportedly spilled online after members of Adam's family claim they weren't invited to Holly's hen do at Soho Farmhouse, with guests including Ramsay family friend, Victoria Beckham.

Adam's mother, Caroline, has spoken out to say she wants to repair the rift, while Adam’s father Mark previously told The Sun that the feud had spiralled out of control.
