The Jammu & Kashmir Police’s State Investigation Agency (SIA) on Thursday carried out searches at the Jammu office of the Kashmir Times, officials said.

According to preliminary reports, an SIA team reached the newspaper’s premises early in the morning and conducted searches across multiple sections of the office. According to sources, several documents and other digital devices were examined as part of the operation.

An official said that a case has been registered against the newspaper for "glorification of activities inimical to the interests of the country."

The SIA has not issued any formal statement on the searches. The newspaper has also not responded to the ongoing raids immediately
