DALLAS (AP) — New York Knicks All-Star Jalen Brunson returned to the lineup on Wednesday night against the Dallas Mavericks after sitting out two games with a Grade 1 ankle sprain.
Brunson was hurt last Wednesday in a 124-107 home loss to Orlando.
Brunson spent his first four NBA seasons with the Mavericks before leaving for New York in free agency in July 2022. This was his fourth game against Dallas in seven opportunities, missing the other three with injuries.
The Knicks were 0-3 in Brunson’s previous appearances against Dallas. His 26.7 point per game against the Mavericks was his highest average against any opponent.
