To say that the U.S. House voted to release the Epstein files by a wide margin on Tuesday, Nov. 18, is like saying Michael Jordan was pretty decent with a basketball; to say the least, that description doesn’t adequately convey the full magnitude of Jordan’s abilities on the court. A vote of 427 to 1 is not a wide margin, it is an eclipse.

And yet the final vote tally in the House, followed closely by the unanimous consent gut punch delivered by the U.S. Senate may not be the most telling part of the story. In truth, it is more effect than cause. To locate at least the partial cause for the eclipse, look no further than the high-profile defection of Marjorie Taylor Greene from President Donald Trump’s inner circle.
