In a shocking development, the parents of the class 10 student, who committed suicide by jumping from the platform of Rajendra Place Metro Station in Central Delhi on Wednesday, claimed that the teachers of the teen’s school continuously harassed him.
Shaurya Pradeep Patil, a 10th-grade student at St. Columbus School in Delhi, took his own life after leaving a suicide note, in which he blamed the teachers of his school. The incident has snowballed into a major protest after protesters held a candlelight protest outside the school, demanding respect for Shaurya.
The student, a resident of Dhavleshwar village in Khanapur taluka of Sangli district in Maharashtra, was found bleeding by a bystander who alerted the police. He was rushed to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
