A man who told police he wanted to die by suicide fired five shots into the air at the Simon Silk Mill in Easton, according to city police .
The 25-year-old man called police at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Easton Police Captain Sal Crisafulli said. The man said he wanted mental health assistance and wanted to die by suicide, according to Crisafulli.
The man, who lives in Easton, then went outside the silk mill complex and fired the shots, Crisafulli said. The complex is at 13 th Street and Bushkill Drive in Easton.
No one was injured, Crisafulli said. The man was quickly taken into custody and driven to a mental health ward at a local hospital, he said.
He was not charged with a crime as of Friday morning, Crisafulli said.
