SAN ANTONIO — The Las Palmas Branch Library is officially back open to the community after completing a major $7 million renovation that library officials say will modernize the space and expand services for west-side families.

The project was funded through the City of San Antonio’s 2017 and 2022 Bond programs, with additional support from the San Antonio Public Library Foundation and H-E-B. The upgrades include refreshed interiors, furniture, technology, building systems, and more.

Residents won’t have to wait long to celebrate. A grand reopening event is set for Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. , featuring free family-friendly activities and a first look at all the new improvements.
