TRAVERSE CITY — Starting April 1, underwater spearfishing boundaries for walleye, northern pike, and lake trout will expand, thanks to an unanimous vote of Michigan’s Natural Resources Commission.
According to Michigan Spearfishing Association President Jonathan Durtka, these new regulations mark the greatest expansion of waters for underwater spearfishing for freshwater gamefish in the history of North America.
