Trois-Rivières scored five unanswered goals as the Lions opened a three-game series in Quebec with a 5-2 victory over the Norfolk Admirals.
Brady Fleurent scored just two minutes into the first period to give Norfolk a 1-0 lead, but Trois-Rivières responded with goals by five different players. Cédric Desruisseaux started the scoring binge a minute after Fleurent’s goal, and Anthony Beauregard’s third-period goal made it 5-1.
The Admirals’ Isaac Poulter made his seventh appearance in goal and stopped 40 of 45 shots.
The teams continue their series with a 7 p.m. game Friday.
