A police officer has been rushed to a hospital after a crash during a pursuit in Alhambra early Thursday.

One person involved in the crash was killed. Details on the victim were not immediately available.

The crash was reported just after 3 a.m. on Valley Boulevard near Raymond and Fremont avenues.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area due to street closures.

The California Highway Patrol is leading the investigation, according to the Alhambra Police Department.
