Hillwalkers are being urged to be prepared on Scotland's mountains and munros this winter after rescue teams came to the aid of one walker last night.
Volunteers from the Killin Mountain Rescue Team were called to the support of a walker "experiencing difficulty" on Ben More, the highest peak in Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park.
Thanks to support from the Coastguard Rescue Helicopter, the team were airlifted up the mountain towards the casualty.
The prepared walker had brought warm layers and a survival bag including a whistle and torch for signalling as well as hot food and drink.
That meant they were able to shelter safely until the rescue team got close to them and then catch the rescuers' attention with ease.
