Task season 2 has officially been confirmed by HBO, the crime thriller series set to return after a record-breaking, critically acclaimed season 1. Originally billed as a miniseries, the show follows the cat-and-mouse game between FBI agent Tom Brandis (Mark Ruffalo) and professional robber Robbie Prendergrast (Tom Pelphrey). Task season 1 reviews scored it a 96% on Rotten Tomatoes.

Now, HBO has confirmed that Task has been renewed for season 2. Confirmed by CEO Casey Bloys, the upcoming season of the show will be headed by series creator Brad Ingelsby.
