HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The annual Celebration of Lights is set to take place in downtown Hastings Thursday.

The event will start at 5 p.m., with lots of holiday-themed activities for kids and adults to enjoy. The event will also feature food, shopping opportunities, live entertainment and Christmas-themed music.

The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 6:55 p.m., as the Christmas tree display will be lit up and will stay that way the rest of the holiday season. The festivities will end at 8 p.m.

The Hastings Chamber of Commerce is organizing the events and Executive Director Shannon Landauer said many people have come together in the community to make this event happen.
