The Punjab Police on Thursday carried out an operation against terrorists in Ludhiana, uncovering an ISI-backed multi-state gangster–terror module with links to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
The gunfight took place near the Ladowal Toll Plaza on the Delhi–Amritsar National Highway.
According to initial information, the police had arrested terrorists from Haryana and Bihar a day earlier along with hand grenades.
During their interrogation, information about these terrorists came to light. Following this, the police laid a trap to catch them. However, when the police closed in, the suspects opened fire. The police retaliated, and two terrorists were injured by police gunfire.
