MONTCLAIR, New Jersey (WABC) -- Perhaps cats really do have nine lives. A family from Montclair, New Jersey, was recently reunited with their feline they lost a decade ago.
Ten years ago, the family adopted two kittens from a shelter.
But not long after, one of the cats escaped through a window and her family figured she was lost on the streets forever.
Now, a decade later, the now-full grown cat came strutting back into their lives.
A good Samaritan found the cat and brought it to the animal shelter to scan for a microchip.
Lo and behold there was a phone number registered and the shelter was able to reunite the cat with her long-lost family, who have since moved from New Jersey to the Finger Lakes.
