Medicare Part B premiums will increase in 2026, according to new figures from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

Monthly premiums for Medicare Part B will rise $17.90 in 2026 to a total of $202.90. That’s an increase of about 9.7%.

Medicare Part B is a key component of the federal health care program. It covers numerous items, including visits to doctors and outpatient services like lab tests and diagnostic screening.

Some Medicare Part A costs will also rise next year, according to CMS. Part A covers inpatient hospital care, skilled nursing facilities, hospice and more.

The inpatient hospital deductible that beneficiaries pay if admitted will rise by $60 to a total of $1,736 in 2026. That’s an increase of about 3.6%.
