MASSILLON ‒ A 24-year-old Jackson Township man has been charged with vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter in connection with a crash that killed a 58-year-old motorcyclist on July 26.
Luca C. Stambaugh is accused of causing the death of Larry A. Jeffries Jr. , of Jackson Township.
The collision occurred when Stambaugh was driving south on Frank Avenue NW in Jackson Township in a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado.
A crash report from the Ohio State Highway Patrol said Stambaugh tried to turn left onto Mega Street and The Strip shopping center from the right lane. His truck hit Jeffries, who was southbound in the left southbound lane of Frank on a 2000 Indian Chief motorcycle.
Stambaugh was thrown from the motorcycle as a result of the collision, which occurred at 1:28 p.m.
