MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the person who died after a shooting on Madison’s north side earlier this week.
MPD said the cause and manner of death for J-Marr Willis, 25, is still being determined.
Madison Police Department officers arrived after 2:45 p.m. Monday to the 2400 block of Brentwood Parkway and found a man who had been shot laying in the middle of the road.
Officials took the Madison man to a hospital, where he died.
The Dane County Medical Examiner’s Office said it completed a forensic autopsy on Tuesday, and more testing is being conducted.
Officers took a person of interest into custody Monday night during a traffic stop near the Dane County Regional Airport. The individual, who has not been named, was booked at the jail
