Widespread theft is a serious issue during the holidays in many cities around the world, but especially in tourist hotspots. Travelers are repeatedly warned not to leave valuables like wallets and smartphones unattended, and to avoid places where robberies are common.
London is one such place. According to statistics from the Metropolitan Police , over 100,000 mobile phone thefts were reported in 2024. However, those phone thieves are apparently only targeting certain models, reports London Centric .
