New Delhi: In what came as a big upset, Zimbabwe stunned Sri Lanka by 67 runs in the second match of the T20I Tri-series in Rawalpindi on Thursday. The Zimbabwe side rode on Brian Bennett’s 49-run knock and Sikandar Raza’s 47 runs to post a challenging total of 162/8 at the end of the first innings.
Chasing a score of 163 runs, Zimbabwe bowlers ran riot on the Lankan batters bundling them out for a paltry 95 runs and sealing a crucial win in the series. Bennett and skipper Raza were the only two batters from the Zimbabwe unit to lay some impact with the bat. While the former hit five boundaries and a lone six enroute his knock, the captain smashed three boundaries and two sixes.
