Chennai: Actor Keerthy Suresh has voiced deep distress and concern over the escalating threat of artificial intelligence (AI) to personal privacy, revealing that morphed images of herself have been circulating on social media. Her experience stresses the growing crisis of deepfakes and AI image manipulation that is increasingly targeting public figures and the general public in India.

Speaking at a press conference in Chennai, Keerthy Suresh described the emotional toll of encountering the fabricated content.

"AI has become a huge issue. It has turned into a boon and a bane. Humans invented technology but we are losing control," Keerthy Suresh stated. "On social media, I get stunned seeing my picture in a suggestive outfit and I wonder if I ever wore it as it is that real."
