INDIANAPOLIS -- The Pacers plan to sign sharp-shooting wing Garrison Mathews to a 10-day hardship contract after converting forward Jeremiah Robinson-Earl's contract to a standard, non-guaranteed deal and waiving point guard Monte Morris , a league source confirmed to the IndyStar on Thursday. The 29-year-old Mathews has played in 314 games and started 64 over six NBA seasons with the Wizards, Rockets and Hawks, averaging 6.5 points per game over the course of his career with a high-water mark of 10.0 per game with the Rockets in the 2021-22 season.
