Kolkata: South Africa's bowling coach Piet Botha has not ruled out Kagiso Rabada's participation in the second Test against India, starting Saturday in Guwahati, despite the star pacer missing training on Thursday due to a rib injury. Rabada, the spearhead of South Africa's pace attack, was sidelined for the opening Test in Kolkata after sustaining the injury during a pre-match session.
"We are monitoring Kagiso Rabada and we will take a call in the next 24 hours," Botha told reporters, confirming that Rabada remains under close medical observation. Lungi Ngidi has been added to the squad as cover, but South Africa is holding out hope for Rabada's return if he passes fitness tests.
The Barsapara Stadium in Guwahati is hosting its first Test, and Botha described the pitch as a good battin
