Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers is a retro-style fast-casual chain known for its thin, crispy-edged steakburgers, shoestring fries and frozen custard.

Founded in Kansas, the brand has grown with over 500 restaurants across 36 states, stretching from Arizona to the Midwest.

But bad news for the company, the chain's largest franchise operators, M&M Custard LLC, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, prompted by rising food and labor costs and financial trouble tied to its underperforming Chicago area restaurants.
