Ole Miss is on the verge of its best regular season in program history and a spot in the College Football Playoff, but right now, the spotlight is on its head coach.

Lane Kiffin has emerged as a top target in both the searches at LSU and Florida, and those rumors heated up this week with members of his family reportedly taking trips to Gainesville on Sunday and Baton Rouge on Monday.

Kiffin was asked again about those rumors on Wednesday during the SEC coaches teleconference, and he's still holding to his line that he will not discuss other jobs during the season.

"I'm saying the same thing for six years," Kiffin said, per CBS Sports Brandon Marcello. "I'm not talking about speaking on other jobs. I'm focused on this one."

Kiffin emphasized that he maintains a strong relationship with Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter and said he's "living in the moment" as two SEC powers look to poach him from Oxford.

"Keith and I have a great relationship," Kiffin said. "We communicate daily on a lot of things and I love it here," Kiffin said. "it's been amazing. We're in the season that's the greatest run in the history of Ole Miss at this point, having never been at this point. So I think it's really exciting. I think Saturday night (against Florida) was amazing.

"I'm just living in the moment -- it's amazing -- and our players are too. I see their joy about the practice season, where they're at and have so much on the line. It's just awesome to be a part of."

Kiffin also deflected when asked if he would coach the Rebels when they face Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl following a bye this weekend, questioning why he wouldn't be.

Ole Miss has reportedly given Kiffin a deadline to decide his future, but at this time, it seems the sixth-year coach isn't giving us much in the way of clues as to what he intends to do.
