TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) - An FSU football player who was shot in the head in August is filing a lawsuit against the apartment complexes where the shooting happened.

According to the complaint, Ethan Pritchard, an 18-year-old freshman linebacker, alleges that both the Riverside Apartment Complex and Havana Heights Apartments are aware of the long history of criminal activity near the apartments.

The complaint claims that owners of the apartment complexes knew or should have known that the possibility of criminal activity was high, exposing residents, guests and the public to “an unreasonably dangerous condition.”

The lawsuit, filed in Gadsden County, claims the owner of Riverside apartments allowed one of the men arrested in connection with the shooting, Germany Atkins, to live there
