A tough start to the season for Anthony Stolarz has taken a turn.

Not a good one, either.

There hasn’t been any sign of the Maple Leafs goaltender since he was hurt in Boston against the Bruins on Nov. 11.

The initial indication from coach Craig Berube that night was that Stolarz, who departed that game after he suffered an upper-body injury in the first period, was not dealing with anything serious.

Considering that Stolarz has not been on the ice since, on Thursday morning we queried about his status.

“Worse than we thought,” Berube said. “He’s not ready to get on the ice yet, do the things that he has needed to do. Hopefully it’s soon.
