Schofield Building’s materials to be used in its replacement

The walls of downtown Vancouver’s historic Schofield Building have come down.

Crews began removing salvageable pieces of the nearly 150-year-old, two-story building at West Sixth and Main streets earlier this year. But official demolition began last week.

Michael Aschieris, who owns the building with other members of the storied Schofield family, said the project is on schedule. Tags Construction Development West Vancouver
