Pike Brewing, a pioneer in the Seattle craft brewery scene, will close its Pike Pub and Pike Fish Bar locations near the iconic downtown market on Nov. 30, owner Seattle Hospitality Group said in a news release Wednesday afternoon.
The downsizing comes at a time when the craft brewery industry has struggled nationally — a shake-up that has been felt around Washington and in Seattle specifically.
The flagship Pike Brewing space in downtown Seattle was founded by Charles and Rose Ann Finkel in 1989. Finkel sold his craft brewery to the Seattle Hospitality Group and Ethan Stowell Restaurants for an undisclosed sum in May 2021. Pike Fish Bar, the seafood and beer counter, opened in 2022.
Per the release, both closing locations will sell $4 drafts until they shutter.
