Isaiah Rudison took a chance on himself to play football on the Division 1 level.
The former standout running back and linebacker at El Paso's El Dorado High School didn't have any offers from Division 1 schools until former New Mexico State head coach Jerry Kill liked what he saw and offered Rudison a walk-on spot. That was prior to the 2022 season, and now in 2025, Rudison is an integral part of the New Mexico State squad, which visits UTEP on Saturday, Nov. 23, for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
"Saturday's game means a lot to me. I want to win this game badly," Rudison said. "We lost a tough one last year at home to UTEP (a 42-35 Miners win) and we want to avenge that loss. We're preparing hard to win this game, it means a lot to our program."
The 5-foot-11, 220-pound Rudison is a redshirt juni
