HOUSTON – An investigation is underway after a man was found dead and another was left injured following a burglary at an apartment complex in the River Oaks, according to the Houston Police Department.

Police responded to the reported burglary around 10:45 a.m. at The Gael Apartments.

Police said when they entered the apartment, they found a man dead and another still alive but injured, both suffering from gunshot wounds.

KPRC 2’s Bryce Newberry spoke with an eyewitness at the scene who said he heard three gunshots and looked outside of his apartment to see masked men, in all black, running to a Mercedes getaway car.
