FOXBOROUGH — Joe Burrow is ahead of schedule as he recovers from foot surgery to repair turf toe.
The Bengals quarterback was expected to miss three months after undergoing a procedure on Sep. 19, but returned to practice last week. Burrow took another step forward Wednesday and was listed as a full participant, which means he took all of his first-team reps in 11-on-11 drills.
On 700WLW Thursday morning, Zac Taylor was asked whether Burrow would return this weekend against the Patriots. The Bengals coach was non-committal on his status for Sunday, but certainly left the door open.
“I’m not there yet. One day at practice isn’t going to lead to that decision yet,” Taylor said. “So we’ll use the time we have at our disposal and come up with the best decision we can.”
