More than 180 people have died on Colorado roads in 2025 due to impaired drivers as state authorities amp up enforcement around the holiday season.
Beginning Thursday and lasting through Dec. 3, the Colorado Department of Transportation will team up with the Colorado State Patrol and 68 local law enforcement agencies on “The Heat is on Thanksgiving Weekend DUI Enforcement” period.
The initiative will bring saturation patrols, sobriety checkpoints and additional law enforcement officers on duty dedicated to arresting impaired drivers, CDOT and state patrol said in a news release.
In addition, Uber and Mothers Against Drunk Driving will offer an $8 discount, valid for one-time use within the Denver metro between Nov. 16 and 30. Use Uber voucher code GOBBLECO25 to redeem the promotion.
