President Donald Trump called out U.S. Senator Elissa Slotkin, D-Holly, and five other Democrats for urging American troops to refuse unlawful orders, saying the lawmakers statements were “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH.”

Trump took to his Truth Social account Thursday, Nov. 20 to respond to a video featuring Michigan’s Slotkin and five other lawmakers with military or intelligence backgrounds.

In it, they advise military members they can “refuse illegal orders” from the Trump administration.

Slotkin, D-Holly, posted the video to her social media accounts on Tuesday, Nov. 18 and in recent interviews has since said the video is meant to provide guidance for troops ordered into American cities by President Donald Trump’s administration.
