MADISON (WKOW) -- The Goodman Community Center is putting out an urgent call for donations ahead of its Saturday morning distribution event.
On Saturday morning, 4,000 families will be at the Center to receive the groceries they need to make a traditional Thanksgiving dinner at home.
“We’re very close but there are several key ingredients that we’re still short of,” said Francesca Frisque, GCC’s Director of Food Resources. “Our most wanted item is vegetable oil. It doesn’t have to be a particular kind, and it doesn’t have to be a huge bottle. Many of the people we’re serving don’t have a well-stocked cupboard, so we think it's important to provide staples like oil.
