After about three months on strike, workers at Libbey Glass have yet to reach an agreement with the company, with one local United Steelworkers union rejecting the most recent proposal.

“Libbey will continue to negotiate in good faith with both unions and encourage those at the table to consider the entire population’s interests,” the company said.

The union was set to vote to ratify the contract on Wednesday but voted it down.

The contract, according to a United Steelworkers letter sent to union members ahead of the vote, would provide a total wage increase of 24 percent over four years, which would be 25.75 percent when compounded. Workers would also receive an immediate increase of 14.25 percent and a $3,000 bonus after ratification.
